Yesterday, I fit in a 5k run on the roads near my school. It was pretty good, and it was about 26 minutes +. I took it easy, and it wasn't too bad. I was late for class by 2 minutes, but it was worth it.
I figured I let you know about my fitness status. It actually isn't that interesting except that I too ran an out and back 5k this morning (Thursday) in 26+ minutes. I am disappointed in my ability to move at 7am. My outbound was ridiculously slow with a pretty speedy return, particularly the last mile. I hate morning runs and have since the weekend long runs (12-14) at Adams. I bet on the first 1-2 miles I am at least a 90 seconds slower per mile than the same route in the afternoon.
I tried to post a commetn this morning but it apparently did make it. It was mainly just to say that I was able to drop 90 seconds from my time yesterday while adding a tenth of a mile. Average pace: 7:40-7:45 with a slow first mile. I think I've sped up enough to train with you without slowwing you down too much.
